I watched it all come crashing down
On the verge of a world profound
Standing on unstable ground
Adding insult to injury
I think it's really gonna happen this time
All our calls are on the company dime
Reluctance ties up the line with irresponsibility
No matter save for a friend
No argument can ammend
Irreplaceable but in the end
One star player doesn't save the team
Now you're open to atack
Our burden rests on your back
Replace
Re-track responsibility
I'm still waiting for you to get over this
Anonymous until the ending
Spent a long long time pretending
And a longer day spent accepting
What the world ahead would store
You only learn by not believing
That the industry is unforgiving
Everything that you've been giving
Isn't what it was before
I'm still waiting for you to get over this
Replace
Re-track
I'm still waiting for you to get over this
The Get Up Kids are an American emo band from Kansas City, Missouri. Formed in 1995, the band was a major player in the mid-90's emo scene, otherwise known as the "second wave" of emo music. As they gained prominence, they began touring with bands such as Green Day and Weezer before becoming headliners themselves, eventually embarking on international tours of Japan and Europe. They founded Heroes and Villains Records, an imprint of the successful indie rock label Vagrant Records. While the imprint was started to release albums by The Get Up Kids, it served as a launching pad for several side-projects such as The New Amsterdams and Reggie and the Full Effect.

My favorite group when I was just a teenager were the Fugees, thanks to them a certain curiosity about english language was born in me. I wanted to know and understand the lyrics of their songs, it wasn't enough for me to be carried away exclusively by their beautiful music.
