Nokturnal Mortum is a Ukrainian black metal band active since 1994. Considered one of the pioneers of the genre in Ukraine, they have contributed to defining the dark and atmospheric sound typical of the post-Soviet scene. Their music is characterized by the use of traditional Ukrainian instruments such as the bandura, along with distorted guitars and blast beat drums.
