Montell Dusean Jordan, known simply as Montell Jordan, is an American singer and record producer born in Los Angeles, California on May 10, 1968. He is primarily known for his international success of 1995 "This Is How We Do It", a song that dominated charts worldwide and established him as one of the main representatives of R and B music in the 1990s. Jordan began his musical career in the 1980s, collaborating with several hip hop artists before signing a record deal in 1994.
