Conception is a power/progressive metal band from Raufoss, Norway. Active from 1989 to 2003 and then reunited in 2017, the band has released six studio albums, combining progressive influences with melodic elements and operatic vocals. Lead singer Roy Khan, known for his wide vocal range and theatrical performances, was a key element of the band's success.
