Kristin Hersh is an American singer-songwriter and musician known for her work with the indie rock band Throwing Muses. Born in Lexington, Massachusetts, in 1965, Hersh began playing guitar at the age of seven. In 1986, she formed Throwing Muses with her sister Tanya Donelly and friend David Narcizo.
