Broadcast was a British electronic music duo active from 1996 to 2007. Composed of James Cargill and Trish Keenan, the pair released six studio albums for Warp Records, becoming one of the most influential acts in the IDM (Intelligent Dance Music) genre. Their music is characterized by a psychedelic and nostalgic sound, with influences drawn from krautrock, classical music, and experimental music. Keenan's ethereal and melodic vocals contributed significantly to the group's sonic identity. Some of Broadcast's most representative tracks include "The Book Lovers", "Come On Let's Go" and "Tenderiser". Their album "Ha Ha Sound" (2003) is considered one of their most important works, thanks to its dreamlike atmosphere and innovative sound. Broadcast collaborated with artists such as David Holmes and The Chemical Brothers. Trish Keenan's death in 2011 marked the end of the group.
