Crionics is a Polish blackened death metal band from Krakow, formed in 1997 by Michal Skotniczny, Dariusz Styczen, "Marcotic" and Maciej Zi and #281;ba. In their early years they played fast and melodic music under the strong influence of Norwegian black metal band Emperor. Over the years, the band has explored darker and more intricate sounds, incorporating elements of doom metal and progressive metal. Crionics is considered one of the most important bands in the Polish blackened death metal scene, with an international following of fans. Some representative tracks include "The Serpent's Embrace", "Through the Veil of Shadows" and "Eternal Winter".
