Throughout the 1970s and 1980s, she established herself as a solo artist, exploring diverse musical genres such as country, pop, opera, and mariachi. Among her most important albums are "Heart Like a Wheel", "Living in the USA" and "Canciones de Mi Padre". Ronstadt has won ten Grammy Awards and an Emmy Award for her musical and theatrical career. In 2013, she was struck by a neurodegenerative disease that forced her to retire from the stage.
