Crystal Castles is an electronic music duo from Ontario, Canada, consisting of producer Ethan Kath and vocalist Alice Glass. Known for their chaotic live shows and lo-fi home productions, the duo released numerous vinyl EPs between 2006 and 2007, as well as two self-titled albums in 2008 and 2010. Their sound is characterized by intense electronic rhythms, distorted synths, and Glass' guttural vocals, creating a dark and hypnotic atmosphere. Notable tracks include "Alice Practice", "Crimewave" and "Not In Love". The 2008 self-titled album was critically and commercially successful, solidifying their position as one of the most innovative electronic bands of the contemporary scene. In 2013 Alice Glass left the group for personal reasons, leaving Kath to continue the project with new vocalists.
