The Backstreet Boys are an American pop vocal group formed in Orlando, Florida, in 1993. Their manager, Lou Pearlman, was inspired by the success of New Kids on the Block and decided to create a similar group. The original quintet consisted of Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, AJ McLean, Kevin Richardson, and Brian Littrell.
