Lunachicks were a female punk rock band formed in New York City in 1987. Their sound, characterized by aggressive guitar riffs and provocative lyrics, helped define the aesthetics of the riot grrrl movement of the 1990s. The Lunachicks released three studio albums: "Lunachicks" (1990), "The Big One" (1992) and "Live at CBGB's" (1993). Among their most notable songs are "I Wanna Be Your Dog", "Teenage Wasteland" and "No More Boys". The band disbanded in 1994, but their music continues to be enjoyed by fans worldwide.
