Phenomena è un progetto rock di matrice concettuale, nato dall'idea dei produttori Tom Galley e Wilfried Rimensberger, fondatore della rivista Metalhammer, insieme al fratello di Tom, Mel Galley. Il gruppo ha visto la partecipazione di alcuni tra i più importanti musicisti rock del panorama internazionale come Glenn Hughes, Brian May, Tony Martin e John Wetton. Nel 1985, Kerrang! dedicò una copertina a Phenomena, lodando il loro approccio alla creazione di album concept basati su storie narrative integrate con artwork e altri elementi multimediali, contribuendo al ritorno del genere negli anni '80. Il gruppo ha pubblicato quattro album, raggiungendo il primo posto nelle classifiche sudamericane e britanniche con il singolo "Did It All For Love", che ha anche ottenuto un buon successo in Europa, Giappone e Brasile. Un video musicale per il brano è stato realizzato da Rimensberger in collaborazione con Spidercom Films presso gli Abbey Road Studios di Londra, rappresentando un trailer per il progetto cinematografico Phenomena - Dream Runner.
