Trivium è una band americana di metalcore formatasi a Orlando, Florida nel 2000. Il loro debutto, l'album *Ember to Inferno*, risale al 2003 e ha segnato l'inizio della loro ascesa. Il successo è arrivato con il secondo album, *Ascendancy* (2005), la cui traccia "Washing Away Me in the Tides" è stata inclusa nella colonna sonora del film *Underworld: Evolution* nel 2006.
