Salvatore Adamo, born Salvatore Adamo on November 10, 1943, in Castellammare di Stabia, Italy, is an Italian-Belgian singer-songwriter of international success. After spending his childhood in Belgium, where he moved with his family at the age of five, Adamo began his musical career in the 1960s, quickly winning over the Belgian audience with his melodic style and love songs. In 1968, he participated in the Sanremo Music Festival with "Il mio canto", achieving great success in Italy. Adamo is known for songs like "Tu vuo' fa l'americano", "Se telefonando" and "Marianne", which topped the charts in Europe and beyond. His music, characterized by catchy melodies and romantic lyrics, has helped solidify his status as an icon of Italian and Belgian song. Adamo continues to be active in the music world, releasing new albums and performing concerts worldwide.
