Le Orme sono un gruppo musicale italiano di rock progressivo, originario di Venezia. Formatosi nei primi anni '60 come gruppo beat, ha subito una metamorfosi nel corso degli anni '70, abbracciando sonorità più elaborate e sperimentali. Tra i pilastri del progressive italiano, Le Orme hanno saputo coniugare melodie orecchiabili con strutture complesse e un'influenza jazz evidente. Il loro sound è caratterizzato da tastiere virtuosistiche, chitarre melodiche e una sezione ritmica solida. 1973 ha visto la pubblicazione dell'album di debutto omonimo, seguito da successi come "Angeli" (1974) e "Uomo di fumo" (1975). Tra i brani più rappresentativi si ricordano "La fine del mondo", "Il viaggio", "Colpo di fulmine" e "L'uomo che non c'è". Le Orme hanno collaborato con artisti come Lucio Dalla e Premiata Forneria Marconi, contribuendo a definire il panorama musicale italiano degli anni '70. Dopo un periodo di pausa negli anni '80, il gruppo ha ripreso l'attività nel 1990, pubblicando nuovi album e continuando a esibirsi in tour.
