Luciano Somma is an Italian poet and composer born in Naples. He began writing songs and poems at the age of 13. He has published numerous poetry collections, both individually and in school anthologies, and has collaborated with hundreds of periodicals. Somma boasts a vast collection of literary awards, including two silver medals from the President of the Republic. In 1987 he earned his H.C. degree in letters and philosophy. Currently, he is a member of juries for poetry and narrative competitions. Registered with SIAE as an author and composer, he has produced around 2000 songs with various collaborators and performers. In addition to his musical career, Somma has been a radio host and guest on local television programs and on Rai 2's "Non è mai troppo tardi" program in 2005. He has served as artistic director for several publishing houses and record labels, including Agos di Vignola, Strings Record of Forlì, Italian Way Music of Cusano Milanino, Project Team Antorva, Vivicentro, Lenois, Mondomancini of Ischia, and other artistic organizations. Considered the most present poet on the internet, Somma has dozens of academic titles. Currently, he collaborates with websites, radio stations, and online television channels publishing poems and songs.
