Pierfrancesco Sampaolo (Orvieto, 1976) è un cantautore italiano. Cresciuto tra la campagna umbra e Roma, si avvicina alla musica fin da giovane, influenzato da cantautori come De Gregori, Battisti, Dalla e Vecchioni. A 16 anni inizia a suonare la chitarra classica del padre, appassionandosi al grunge, al blues e ai cantautori italiani. A 18 anni si trasferisce a Modena, dove compone le sue prime canzoni. Nel 1998 fonda i Quinta Istanza a Torino, incidendo due album con Bassa Frequenza di Michele Lasala. Nel 2002 entra nei Birragratis come cantante, collaborando con artisti come Rocco Burtone. Nel 2004 forma il duo Rumore Rosa con Ilaria Siliotto, incidendo i brani “La Brezza” e “Viaggio di Ritorno”. Dopo un periodo dedicato alla radio, nel 2007 registra un mini LP solista con la SIFARE srl production. Nel 2008 si unisce ai Johnny's Band, collaborando a brani rock blues. Nel 2010 forma il duo Brigitte Bordeaux con Maurizio Volpetti, esibendosi in numerosi festival e locali. Nel 2012 inizia una collaborazione con Luca Carocci, che lo spinge ad esibirsi anche da solo. Le sue canzoni sono caratterizzate da testi diretti e sinceri, che raccontano storie di viaggi, amore e vita quotidiana.
