Mecano was a Spanish pop music trio active from 1981 to 1998. The group, composed of José María Cano (guitar, vocals), Nacho Cano (vocals, keyboards) and Ana Torroja (vocals), achieved international success in the 1980s with songs like "Barcos de Papel", "Hijo del Río" and "La Fuerza del Corazón". Their musical style was characterized by catchy melodies, Spanish lyrics and electronic influences.
