The only permanent member is Vratyas Vakyas, who handles composition, arrangements, and all instruments. Falkenbach's music is characterized by epic and melancholic atmospheres, influenced by Norse mythology and Germanic culture. Lyrics are in German and deal with themes such as war, death, nature, and spirituality. Notable tracks include "Havamal", "Nordstjärnan", and "Sigurdr". Their debut album, "En ihrer Zeit", was released in 1995. Falkenbach is considered one of the pioneers of the Viking black metal genre and has influenced numerous subsequent bands.
