Gatto Panceri, real name Luigi Giovanni Maria Panceri (Monza, May 26, 1962), is an Italian singer-songwriter known for his musical style that blends elements of songwriting, rock and pop. Raised in Concorezzo, Gatto Panceri debuted at the Sanremo Music Festival in 1986 under the pseudonym Gigi Panceri, performing the song "Scherzi della vita" in the New Proposals section. Although he did not reach the final, this debut marked the beginning of his musical career. In 1983 he had already released a mini LP titled "A cento metri da casa", followed by "Il suono del Gatto" in the same format. Over the following years, Gatto Panceri has released several successful albums, consolidating his position as one of the most acclaimed Italian singer-songwriters.
