La Fouine, real name Laouni Mouhid, is a French rapper, singer, actor and record producer of Moroccan descent. Born in Paris in 1983, he began his musical career in the early 2000s, quickly gaining popularity thanks to his aggressive rap style and intricate rhymes. La Fouine is considered one of the pioneers of the «banlieue sale» genre, which reflects the social and cultural realities of French suburbs.
