High Tone è un gruppo musicale francese di genere dub originario di Lione. Fondato nel 1997, la band ha fatto parte dell'emergere della scena musicale dub francese, insieme a gruppi come Brain Damage Sound System, Kaly Live Dub, Le Peuple de l'Herbe, Improvisators Dub e Me and #239; Te and #239; Sho. Composto da cinque membri, High Tone arricchisce la propria musica con influenze provenienti da generi diversi come Drum'n'bass, Ambient, Trance e Vintage Dub, prendendo spunto da artisti come King Tubby o Lee "Scratch" Perry. Dopo aver pubblicato alcuni EP in vinile prodotti autonomamente, il gruppo ha firmato per l'etichetta Jarring Effects. I membri di High Tone sono oggi considerati attori principali della scena dub francese e sono noti per le numerose collaborazioni con altri artisti.
