What you're saying

VERSE
I’m sorry for loving
Even sorry I cared
I’m sorry for trying
Something I shouldn’t dare
I’m sorry for crying
That’s the last thing you want to hear
I’m sorry for living
Too far and too near

CHORUS
And I don’t care what you’re saying
Those aren’t my words anymore
And I don’t see what you’re proving
By walking out that door

VERSE
I sit here alone now
With no one around
I remember a future
But I still hear the sound
Of you saying goodbye
And me thinking it’s not for long
Now I’m wondering where
Did I go wrong

CHORUS
And I don’t care what you’re saying
Those aren’t my words anymore
And I don’t see what you’re proving
By walking out that door

BRIDGE
And I can’t hold the love tonight
It’s too cold to feel
And I can’t see the reason why
I’m still here

CHORUS
And I don’t care what you’re saying
Those aren’t my words anymore
And I don’t see what you’re proving
By walking out that door

CHORUS
And I don’t care what you’re saying
Those aren’t my words anymore
And I don’t see what you’re proving
By walking out that door

Biografia

John Winston Ono Lennon (Liverpool, October 9, 1940 – New York, December 8, 1980) was an English singer-songwriter, musician, artist, and activist. Considered one of the most influential artists of the 20th century, Lennon is best known for his work with the Beatles, a musical group that revolutionized pop music in the 1960s. He began his musical career in the 1950s with the Quarrymen, a Liverpool band that evolved into the Beatles in 1960. With the Beatles, Lennon wrote and performed some of the most famous songs in music history, including "Yesterday", "Let It Be", "Hey Jude" and "Imagine". After the group disbanded in 1970, Lennon embarked on a highly successful solo career, releasing albums such as "Plastic Ono Band", "Imagine" and "Double Fantasy". In addition to music, Lennon actively campaigned for peace and civil rights. He was a fervent pacifist during the Vietnam War and supported the civil rights movement of African Americans. In 1969, he married artist Yoko Ono, with whom he collaborated on several musical and artistic projects. Lennon was assassinated in New York in 1980 by an obsessed fan. His musical and social legacy continues to inspire generations of artists and activists.
