Sir Ringo Starr, born Richard Starkey on July 7, 1940, in Liverpool, England, is a legendary British musician best known for being the drummer of the Beatles. His musical career began in the early 1960s with the Quarrymen, a group that preceded the Beatles. With the arrival of Paul McCartney and George Harrison, Ringo established himself as a fundamental member of the band, contributing his contagious energy and a unique rhythmic sound.
