Uriah Heep is an English rock band formed in 1969 by producer Gerry Bron. The original lineup included vocalist David Byron, multi-instrumentalist Ken Hensley, guitarists Mick Box and Paul Newton, and drummer Nigel Olsson. Throughout their career, the band has undergone several lineup changes and musical style shifts, ranging from progressive rock to hard rock with jazz influences. Considered precursors to the progressive metal scene, Uriah Heep achieved great success in the 1970s with albums like *Demons and Wizards* (1972) and *The Magician's Birthday* (1972). Among their most representative songs are "Easy Livin'", "July Morning", "Lady in Black" and "Look at Yourself". Mick Box is the only original member still active in the group.
