A quarter to closing
It was whiskey and roses
Digging in deeper, getting comfortably close
A million nights later
A brand-new fire
Constantly saving our souls
God only knows
The end of this long road
Everybody stumbles and falls
We were never out of love
We make it through the dark somehow
Forever could have come and gone
But we carry on
Connected by the heart
It's the better part of who we are
Watching you sleeping
Lost in your dreaming
I can see the life we've been through on your face
Taken some chances
We had a few crashes
This is our story, living every page
Changing fate
Braving a new wave
Everybody stumbles and falls
We were never out of love
We make it through the dark somehow
Forever could have come and gone
But we carry on
Connected by the heart
It's the better part of who we are
Love's saving grace
I believe when we take a leap of faith
Everybody stumbles and falls
We were never out of love
We make it through the dark somehow
Forever could have come and gone
But we carry on
Connected by the heart
It's the better part of who we are
Watching you sleeping
I'm lost in your dreaming
