Il The Alan Parsons Project è un gruppo musicale britannico formatosi a Londra nel 1974 da Alan Parsons, ingegnere del suono di fama internazionale, e Eric Woolfson, compositore e manager. L'idea era quella di creare un progetto musicale innovativo che combinasse elementi progressivi, rock e musica classica, con l'orchestra come elemento centrale.
