Recreation from desolation
Magnitude through levitation
The core is still growing stronger
The seed to plant all seeds
Reptilian
From time before time
When all oceans were one
Before the mountains grew towering
All forces one being
Dark reptilian wings
Never to back down
Never to seek shelter
Head first into the coming storm
And stand alone
Victorious
Reptilian
From time before time
Whenn all oceans were one
Before the mountains grew towering
All forces one being
Reptilian winged watcher
It's rising foretold the death of kings
Collapse of empires
A monumental battle to the death
Sickening the sight of war
Keep of Kalessin is a Norwegian extreme metal band from Trondheim, formed in 1993. The group has seen several lineups throughout its history. The original lineup consisted of Ghash on vocals, Obsidian C. on guitars and keyboards, Warach on bass, and Vyl on drums. During this period they released two albums: *Through Times of War* (1997) and *Agnen: A Journey Through the Dark* (1999), before disbanding. Obsidian C. then toured with Satyricon, but revived the Keep of Kalessin name for a 2003 EP, *Reclaim*. In 2006 he reconstituted the group with a new lineup and released a third full-length, *Armada*. They toured with Behemoth and Dimmu Borgir early in 2008. Their fourth album *Kolossus* was released on June 6, 2008. The band's name derives from Ursula K. Le Guin's *Earthsea* series of books, where Kalessin is the name of the arch-dragon who bears the Earthsea world.
