Union J was a British boy band formed in 2010 through the talent show The X Factor UK. The group, consisting of George Shelley, Josh Cuthbert, JJ Hamblett and Jaymi Hensley, achieved success with a pop-rock sound influenced by the Britpop of the 1990s. After participating in The X Factor in 2012, finishing seventh, they signed a record deal with Virgin Records and released their debut album, "Union J", in 2013. The album reached number one on the UK independent albums chart and spawned singles like "Carry You" and "You Got It All". Throughout their career, Union J collaborated with artists such as The Saturdays and embarked on international tours. In 2019, the group disbanded after a period of hiatus.
