My Shameful è una band di doom/death metal con membri finlandesi, tedeschi e americani. Il gruppo presenta anche forti influenze del funeral doom. Originata come progetto di studio a due persone in Finlandia nel 1999, ha registrato tre demo e tre album. Le demo sono state registrate con Sami Rautio e Harri Jussila come membri partecipanti, mentre gli album hanno visto Sami Rautio come unico membro. La formazione è stata completata nel 2004 con il batterista Mark Napier, il bassista Twist e il chitarrista Mario. My Shameful si è separata da Mark Napier nella primavera del 2007, trovando un nuovo batterista in Jurgen Frohling.
