Giancarlo "Gianky" Capicotto, longtime guitarist for the Calabrian punk band Meat For Dogs, active since 1993, gives birth to the solo project 77 Gianky Project in 2016. The musical project takes shape from the desire to give space to more melodic and pop-punk songs, while maintaining a connection with Capicotto's punk roots. The debut arrives in March 2018 with the album "Non mi fermerò mai", recorded in April 2017. The album features six original tracks plus a cover of Impact and sees the participation of Eugenio (bass) and Simone (drums), both members of Meat For Dogs. The cover, a detail of the jeans jacket worn by Gianky for over twenty years, represents the continuity with the punk past. Among Capicotto's musical influences is the figure of Bob Mould and his Hüsker Dü. "Non mi fermerò mai" was released by Overdrive Records, Duff Records and Scatti Vorticosi Records.
