Edvard Hagerup Grieg (Bergen, 15 giugno 1843 – Bergen, 4 settembre 1907) è stato un compositore e pianista norvegese considerato il più grande musicista del suo paese. Grieg si distinse per la sua capacità di integrare elementi della musica tradizionale norvegese con le tecniche compositive del Romanticismo europeo. Il suo repertorio comprende opere orchestrali, cameristiche, corali e vocali, ma è soprattutto noto per i suoi pezzi pianistici e le musiche da camera.
