Mario Calarco (Reggio Calabria, June 14, 2001) is an Italian singer-songwriter. His passion for music began at a young age with guitar lessons and expanded during his adolescence to include piano and singing. He is currently in the second year of the jazz singing triennium at the Conservatory of Music "F. Cilea" in Reggio Calabria, refining his vocal technique and immersing himself in the rich tradition of jazz. He has participated in masterclasses with Ernesto Marciante, Serena Brancale and Geoff Westley, contributing to his artistic growth. He collaborates with the Città di Bagnara Calabra wind orchestra and the Thaleia Orchestra of Sant'Eufemia D'Aspromonte. In 2024 he was a finalist in the Mia Martini Award, New Proposals for Europe section, with the song "Un Sogno", which won the award for Best Radio Song. In 2025, he was a semifinalist at the Fatti Sentire Festival and a finalist in the Singer-Songwriters section of Je So Pazz Music Fest, both with the song "Mimì". For him, songwriting is a way to tell his own story. Among his most significant compositions are "Mimì", written in memory of Mia Martini, and "Frammenti di Mantra", which became the theme song for a disco event called Mantra. He is also a videomaker and tiktoker. For Mario, music is the main way to dialogue with the world and those who listen to him.
