PZ, whose real name is Raffaele Michael Piazzolla, is an Italian rapper and songwriter born in Modena and artistically raised in Mantua. Active since the early 2000s in the independent hip hop scene, he has performed on stages and festivals throughout Italy, sharing lineups with artists like J-Ax, Marracash, Club Dogo, Dargen D'Amico, and Tormento. Throughout his career, he has released two albums, "Parametri Zero" (2013) and "Rap_Pare" (2016), the double mixtape "ONE SHOTAPE – Tape A and B", the EP "Squali", and a handful of singles that have defined and established a recognizable style: sharp, essential, far from the most beaten codes. PZ personally oversees every stage of production – from recording to mixing and mastering – and has also delved into vocal technique to have full control over the artistic output of his tracks. He currently collaborates with producer Gloomy Note (Leonardo Visan), with whom he has embarked on a sonic exploration that combines instinct and control, pulsation and silence. He writes based on what he lives, not on what works. And with Gloomy Note, he has found a new direction: a "balanced" but calibrated sound, and the intermittent rhythm of someone who tries to remain himself. A sound tailored to adhere, to stay on top of the words, not to embellish them. Son of an identity that does not ask for confirmation. And that is not afraid to be uncomfortable. Among his most representative tracks: "Parametri Zero", "Squali", "Senza Titolo".
