Ray River is an Italian composer and director born in Faenza and raised in Bologna. From a young age, he was immersed in art thanks to his parents and relatives, approaching writing and music with passion. He started playing the bass and studying composition, first under the guidance of Maestro Tommaso Ussardi of the Senzaspine Orchestra, then continuing as an autodidact through manuals like "Harmony" by Walter Piston and the attentive listening to great composers of every era and style. His first official single, "Angel Jeanne", is the result of his creativity: Ray River takes care of lyrics, music, orchestration and interpretation. His style is characterized by the fusion of a natural melodic singing with classical musical and instrumental structures, creating a blend reminiscent of the cultivated musical. Parallel to his musical career, Ray River also dedicates himself to directing. His first work, the short film "Nel silenzio ricordai Angel Jeanne", has received awards at numerous national and international festivals, participating even in a collateral event of the 82nd Venice Film Festival.
