Ricky Portera, nato a Messina il 12 maggio 1954, è un cantautore italiano noto per la sua versatile carriera musicale. Sin da giovane, ha dimostrato una passione innata per la musica, iniziando con la batteria e poi approfondendo la chitarra. A undici anni accompagnava spettacoli di striptease, mentre a tredici, ispirato dal film Woodstock, si immerse nel mondo del rock. Ha collaborato con artisti come Lucio Dalla, Vasco Rossi, Finardi, Bertè, Ron, De Gregori, Morandi e molti altri. Nel 1990 ha pubblicato il suo primo album, seguito da successivi lavori che hanno esplorato temi di introspezione e protesta politica. Tra i suoi brani più rappresentativi figurano "Banana Republic", "Fottili" e "Prega Tu... Che Prego Anch'Io Per Noi". Nel 2018 è stata pubblicata la sua biografia, "Ci sono cose che non posso dire", considerata un romanzo umanistico. Ricky Portera continua a comporre musica e ad esibirsi in concerti, rimanendo una figura di spicco nella scena musicale italiana.
