Rosario Jermano (Naples, September 19, 1954) is a highly regarded Italian percussionist and drummer. His career, spanning over four decades, is characterized by a deep dedication to both study and live performances. Jermano studied at the Conservatory of Naples with Antonio Buonomo, refining his drumming skills with Walter Scotti and Antonio Golino, and congas with Karl Potter. This multi-disciplinary training has given him extraordinary versatility in the field of percussion. His career has seen him collaborate with some of the greatest Italian and international artists. Among his most significant works is the collaboration with Pino Daniele since his debut in 1976, participating in successful albums and tours. Since 1981, he has collaborated with Renato Zero, contributing to over 15 albums and tours in stadiums and theaters. He has also worked with Fabrizio De André, Zucchero, Eros Ramazzotti, Gino Paoli, Ornella Vanoni, Fiorella Mannoia, Loredana Bertè, Edoardo Bennato and many others, participating in historical records and international tours. As a session musician and percussionist, he has contributed to over 300 albums and performed in tours across Europe, the USA, Canada, Australia and South America. His television appearances include programs such as Fantastico, Domenica In, Linea Blu and Io Canto. As a solo artist, Jermano has released several albums including "Living in Percussion" (containing "Nadir Dance", theme song for Rai 1's Linea Blu program), "Stravagario", "Sueno" and more recently "Nouvelle Cuisine" (2019) and "Dance".
