David Carreira, all'anagrafe David Araújo Antunes, è un cantante portoghese di origini francesi. Nato a Parigi nel 1989, si trasferisce in Portogallo all'età di cinque anni. Inizia la sua carriera musicale come concorrente del talent show televisivo «Ídolos», arrivando secondo nella stagione 2007. Dopo il successo del programma, firma un contratto discografico con la Universal Music Portugal e pubblica il suo album di debutto, «David Carreira», nel 2008. L'album raggiunge il platino in Portogallo, grazie al singolo di successo «A Minha Música».
