David Carreira, born David Araújo Antunes, is a Portuguese singer of French origin. Born in Paris in 1989, he moved to Portugal at the age of five. He began his musical career as a contestant on the television talent show «Ídolos», finishing second in the 2007 season. After the success of the program, he signed a record deal with Universal Music Portugal and released his debut album, «David Carreira», in 2008.
