Ain't even close

Oh yeah

Well Ive had my share of lovers
And Im damn sure I had it all
If I had to count the times Ive broken through
I couldnt even count em all
But now your telling folks youve got me
Into thinking that your the most
But if your planning on the future, honey
You aint even close..nooo

Ive learned to take the punches
And Ive bet down on my chips
Ive learned to shoot
Straight little darlin
Straight from the hip
So baby save yourself some trouble
Putting your world in my hand
You know Ill never settle down
Im just aint that kind of man.

Chorus:
No more, Ive been stood up, knocked down
And had my time to boast
But if your thinkin that you got this old boy
Honey, no you aint even close
Oh no baby

Chorus:
No more, Ive been stood up, knocked down
And had my time to boast
But if your thinkin that you got this old boy
Honey, no you aint even close
No you aint even close.
Oh see that light and feel the thunder, listen to it rain
You know the time
The time I wonder
If its calling out my name
If I know anything about you baby
But this is what Ive got to say
If I got to make the change with you
Then I have to be on my way.

Chorus:
No more, Ive been stood up, knocked down
And had my time to boast
But if your thinkin that you got this old boy
Hell
I said no, Ive been stood up, knocked down
And had my time to boast
But if your thinkin that you got this old boy by the hammer, honey
No you aint even close
No you aint even close
No no no
You aint even close
No..........

Biografia

Molly Hatchet is an American southern rock band formed in Jacksonville, Florida, in 1975. Founded by Dave Hlubek and Steve Holland, the band's name comes from a prostitute who allegedly mutilated and decapitated her clients. Their music is characterized by heavy guitar riffs, catchy melodies, and lyrics often inspired by Southern US everyday life. Their self-titled debut album (1976) achieved moderate success, but it was with their second album, *Flirtin' with Disaster* (1978), that the band reached international fame thanks to the title track single. Other representative songs include "Gator Country" and "Devil's Canyon". Molly Hatchet has continued to record music to this day, maintaining a loyal fan base worldwide.
