Baryonyx is an extinct genus of spinosaurid theropod dinosaur that lived during the Early Cretaceous period, about 130-125 million years ago (Barremian-Aptian), in what is now England and Spain. The genus contains a single species, *B. walkeri*, based on a nearly complete specimen discovered in 1983 in Surrey, England. Baryonyx is known for its long snout with sharp teeth and the presence of very large claws on its forelimbs, which suggest a predominantly piscivorous diet.
