Bend and not break lyrics Dashboard Confessional

Bend and not break

I catalog these steps now
Decisive and intentioned
precise and patterned specifically to yours.
I'm talented at breathing
Especially exhaling
So that my chest will rise and fall with yours

I'm careful not to wake you
Fearing conversation
It's better just to hold you
And keep you pacified
I'm talented with reason
I cover all the angles
I can fail before I ever try

Try to understand there's an old mistake that fools will make
And I'm the king of them, pushing everything that's good away
Wont you hold me now (I will not bend I will not break)
Wont you hold me now (I will not bend I will not break)

I am fairly agile
I can bend and not break
Or I can break and take it with a smile
And I am so resilient
I recover quickly
I'll convince you soon that I am fine

Try to understand there's and old mistake that fools will make
And I'm the king of them, pushing everything that's good away
Wont you hold me now (I will not bend I will not break)
Wont you hold me now (For you I rise, for you I fall)

Just hold me close to you, just hold me close to you
Just hold me close to you, just hold me close to you, to you

And try to understand there's and old mistake that fools will make
And I'm the king of them, pushing everything that's good away
So wont you hold me now?
Wont you hold me now?
Now, now, now, now, now

Thank you because you correct this lyrics

Biografia

Dashboard Confessional is an American musical group formed in 1998 in Gainesville, Florida. The project originated as a side project by Chris Carrabba, who was already the frontman of the band Further Seems Forever. The first album, *Swiss Army Romance* (2000), was primarily a solo effort, but with the success of the record, Carrabba formed a full band for the following album, *The Places You Have Come to Fear the Most* (2001). The group achieved international recognition with the 2002 MTV Unplugged album, which was certified platinum. Subsequently, Dashboard Confessional released other successful albums such as *A Mark, a Mission, a Brand, a Scar* (2003) and *Dusk and Summer* (2006), both reaching number two on the US Billboard charts. In 2007, the group returned to acoustic sounds with the album *The Shade of Poison Trees*. Some of Dashboard Confessional's most representative songs include: "Hands Down", "Screaming Infidelities", "The Sharp Hint of New Tears", "Don't Wait" and "Stolen".
