Knife 49 sono una storica band street punk milanese attiva dal secondo decennio degli anni '90. Fondata da Franco "Il Presidente" Gatto (ex Dogo Gang), voce e compositore, e Luca "Doobie" Adami, chitarra elettrica e cori, la band ha attraversato diverse formazioni mantenendo un'identità musicale unica e riconoscibile. Dopo un iniziale successo negli anni '90, Knife 49 hanno rinascosto nel 2006 grazie al videoclip di "La Luna", che vedeva la partecipazione di Marracash in una fusione di street punk, rap ed hip hop. Questo successo ha portato la band a esibirsi in tutto il mondo, aprendo per leggende del punk come The Adicts, Exploited e Warriors. Knife 49 sono noti per il loro sound granitico, le liriche crude e dirette e le potenti melodie trascinanti. I primi due album presentavano una prevalenza di brani in inglese, mentre dalla metà del secondo album la lingua italiana è diventata centrale. Il quarto album, "Il peggio di noi", evidenzia una maturazione compositiva e un'attenzione alle tematiche trattate. Nel 2021, Knife 49 hanno partecipato a Sanremo Rock, diventando la prima band street punk ad esibirsi sul palco dell'Ariston. Tra i brani rappresentativi: "La Luna", "Il peggio di noi", "Senza paura".
