Damageplan was an American heavy metal band from Dallas, Texas, formed in 2003. The group was born from the idea of brothers Dimebag Darrell and Vinnie Paul Abbott to start a new musical project after the dissolution of their previous band, Pantera. The two recruited Pat Lachman, former guitarist of Halford, as vocalist, and later Bob Zilla on bass.
