Tkay Maidza (born Takudzwa Victoria Rosa Maidza) is a Zimbabwean-Australian singer and rapper. Born in Harare in 1995, she moved to Australia with her family at the age of seven. Her music blends elements of hip hop, pop, and R and B, characterized by electronic rhythms and incisive lyrics that explore themes such as identity, love, and everyday life. Her debut came in 2014 with the single "Brothers", followed by the EP "Switch Tape" (2016). In 2019 she released her debut album "The Other Side".
