Frightened Rabbit è un gruppo indie rock scozzese formatosi nel 2003 da Scott Hutchison (voce, chitarra), Billy Kennedy (chitarra) e Grant Hutchison (batteria). Inizialmente progetto solista di Scott, il nome Frightened Rabbit deriva dal titolo di una canzone scritta durante gli studi all'università. Le prime registrazioni erano demo realizzate con un Tascam 4-track, caratterizzate da un suono lo-fi ma già ricco di talento e personalità. Nel corso degli anni, la formazione si è consolidata in trio e il sound ha maturato un approccio più pop, pur mantenendo l'intensità emotiva tipica dell'indie rock. Tra i brani rappresentativi: "The Modern Leper", "Swim Until You Can't See Land" e "My Backwards Walk". L'album di debutto, "Sing the Greener Grass", risale al 2006, seguito da altri lavori apprezzati dalla critica come "Midnight Organ Fight" (2008) e "The Winter of Mixed Drinks" (2010).
