White Lion is an American hard rock band formed in New York City in 1983 by Mike Tramp (vocals) and Vito Bratta (guitar). Their sound, influenced by the glam metal of the 1980s, quickly gained popularity. Among their most famous songs are "When the Children Cry", "Wait" and "Broken Heart". The debut album "Fight to Survive" (1985) was a commercial success, followed by "Pride" (1987), which cemented the band's status as one of the most important hard rock acts. After some lineup changes, White Lion disbanded in 1991. Mike Tramp and Vito Bratta pursued solo careers, but the group reunited for live performances from 2008 onwards, releasing a new album, "Return of the Pride".
