Arielle Dombasle, pseudonimo di Arielle Laure Maxime Sonnery de Fromental (Parigi, 1953), è una cantautrice, attrice e regista francese naturalizzata statunitense. Figlia di un diplomatico francese e di una madre americana, Dombasle ha trascorso la sua infanzia tra Parigi e New York. Dopo aver studiato recitazione a Parigi, si è trasferita negli Stati Uniti dove ha debuttato come attrice nel film "The Last Emperor" (1987) di Bernardo Bertolucci. Nel corso degli anni '80 e '90 ha lavorato in diversi film francesi e americani, collaborando con registi come Jean-Luc Godard e Claude Chabrol. Parallelamente alla carriera cinematografica, Dombasle si è dedicata alla musica, pubblicando il suo primo album "Arielle" nel 1986. Il suo stile musicale è un mix di pop, rock e chanson francese, influenzato da artisti come Serge Gainsbourg e David Bowie. Tra i suoi brani più noti figurano "Le Temps des Fous", "La Danse du Feu" e "L'Amour est une Histoire d'Ombre".
