Biografia

Laura Pausini (Faenza, May 16, 1974) is an Italian singer and songwriter considered one of the most influential pop artists internationally. Her career began in 1993 with her victory at the Sanremo Music Festival in the Newcomers category thanks to the song «La solitudine», which became a global hit. Pausini conquered the international music market, recording songs in Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, English and French. Her music is characterized by catchy melodies, emotional lyrics and a powerful vocal performance. Throughout her career, she has received numerous international awards, including a Grammy Award in 2006 for the album «Escucha» in the category Best Latin Pop Album of the Year and three Latin Grammy Awards in the category Best Female Pop Vocal Album (2005 with «Escucha», 2007 with «Yo canto» and 2009 with «Primavera anticipada»). In 2006 she was awarded the title of Commander of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic. Among her most representative songs are «La solitudine», «Strani amori», «Tra te e il mare», «Non c'è» and «Yo canto».
