Michele Caparezza, born in Molfetta in 1973, is an Italian singer-songwriter and rapper known for his original musical style and often ironic and provocative lyrics. Son of a teacher and a musician worker, he starts composing songs since childhood. After studying bookkeeping and advertising, he abandons his university career to dedicate himself to music. Initially, he performs as a rapper under the stage name Mikimix, participating in music festivals like Castrocaro and Sanremo Giovani. In 1997, he releases his first album, *La mia buona stella*, but it is only in 2000 with the album *?!* that he assumes the name Caparezza (meaning "curly head" in Molfettese dialect) and begins to gain success.
